Title 1978 Micronesian Performers 1-1
Description "May 20, 1978 - Parent's Weekend - Micronesian Dancers" Wearing grass skirts, leis, and flower or shell headbands, six Micronesian male dancers perform on stage for an audience. On the painted mural behind them, the island name, "Ponape" is visible, as well as the island chain name, "Marianas." The item below "Marianas" that sort of looks like a goblet is called a latte stone. Ancient islanders would shape these very large stones, and then they would build their houses upon them.
